MadDoggKennels is back!!!

For a while I’d decided to minimize the “fighting dog” aspects of the dogs I keep for several reasons. One is that MADDOGGKENNELS.COM was so popular that when the domain was up for renewal the price for the domain was more than I wanted to pay at that time. Another thing is that lots of people were being investigated and arrested for federal dog fighting charges. At MADDOGG KENNELS my goal was to preserve that truest forms of the APBT and that includes its history and designation as a “game” animal. Also though, I do not want to promote or advocate the underground bloodsport of pit fighting with my dogs or my website. That is a difficult balance to maintain. I promoted different sporting activities like wall jumping and weight pull. I also promote participation in ADBA shows. After a while I started to worry a bit about some of the people I was advocating as they might be seen or exposed as being involved in criminal elements that have already caused them much grief and heartache. Then there are the street cats that have no scruples at all and subject the dogs they own to extremely inhumane and unsanitary conditions. There were so many negative variables involved that I had to step back and rebrand. That rebranding became SATORI KENSHO COMPANIONS.

SATORI KENSHO COMPANIONS was my go at a calm and positive rebranding that was more of an attempt for me to hide the backgrounds of the dogs I am raising without promoting where and what they actually come from. I’ve started to feel however like doing so has stripped a bit of the authenticity that made my original website so popular before the shift in direction I took a bit over a year ago. Since around 2005 MadDogg Kennels has been my breeding program that came out of my ending a previous kennel partnership that was called HYPNOTIC KENNELS. When I started MadDoggKennels I had the Razors Edge dogs I had bred and focused on in that partnership as well as a few experimental crosses that included Gottiline/Castillo crosses and other AmBully/APBT mixes. In my time as the main decider and owner of the HYPNOTIC KENNELS program myself and my business partner at that time had secured one of the best GOTTILINE females in that “game” at that time. It was a female directly off of The Notorious Juan Gotti and Bola. Before then we were focused specifically of Razors Edge dogs with the plan to cross the R.E. dogs with dogs we had secured directly from WATCHDOG KENNELS. That plan however became sort lived as the WATCHDOG APBT killed my kennel partner at that times main Razors Edge stud. I had already been studying gamebred APBTs for at least a decade before then. After a decision to dissolve the HYPNOTIC KENNELS program, I started my own outfit without any partners called MADDOGG KENNELS. That situation worked well until myself and the mother of my children split and went in different directions. From there, there was a long hiatus.

Eventually I decided to relocate to the state in which I was birthed which was OKLAHOMA. I was conceived by my mother and father while she was in a group home in South East San Diego. She was then transferred to a potential adoptive family in Oklahoma where I was born. Upon my return to Oklahoma I knew I’d find my chance to make MadDogg Kennels what I originally intended for it to be in the first place. After being a major force and influence in the creation of the AMERICAN BULLY breed and culture, I’d decided that I did not want to deal with that particular breed at all. I was done with those dogs. I wanted to focus on the dogs that were responsible my initial interest in the “blue APBTs” and “AmStaffs” (they aren’t true APBTs once you mix them anyways) in the first place. That took me back to two sources.. The Richard Stratton books that I’d owned and all of my printouts from the long gone website GAMEDOGS.COM. These writings were based on the history and the development of the real American Pit Bull Terrier. I don’t mean the dogs you see all over craigslist. I mean pedigreed and otherwise pure line bred APBT.

In those printout papers I’d collected from GAMEDOG.COM, I’d read about some of the greatest “dog men” of the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80, and 90’s and their dogs, their personal accolades, and their bloodlines. I was already a student of breeding, pedigrees, and bloodlines as well as the science of genetics in my teens, so now after relocating to Oklahoma I told myself , “This is my chance” as these dogs weren’t as easy to secure in California as they were in the South, Midwest, and East Coast. About two years in Oklahoma I went down to Texas to pick up a dog that came from Oklahoma and is a Pure Colby bloodline dog. That male is a dog I plan to use in an outcross breeding and sits on my yard as I type this article. He has not as of yet been bred and at this point I wouldn’t breed him for at least 2 or 3 years from now. This is how meticulously I try to play my breedings. When I was doing my thing with the Hypnotic Kennels program I was not known for mass producing puppies or breeding just to sell puppies. I bred for myself first. As such, I was responsible for a few litters over a few years.. and most oftentimes I didn’t sell puppies to other breeders. I either placed them or I put them with good people that would take good care of them for a fraction of the real cost of those dogs.

As of now, I’ve decided that MadDogg Kennels is my brand and my program when it comes to my dogs. It sounds harsh and scary, but MadDogg is my street name and my original stage name as an artist and performer. Actually, my first tapes and presence on the internet was under the stage name “Tha Mad Dog”, which then became “MadDoggBlue” when my street name and stage name were brought together. M.D.K. or MadDogg Kennels is not due to me having a kennel of crazy killer dogs. It’s named after myself. So, I’ll be again redesigning MADDOGGKENNELS.COM and when the SATORI KENSHO KENNELS domain expires I’ll republish the official MADDOGG KENNELS website. There you can follow my work and efforts as a dog breeder and keep up with my dog’s accomplishments. I’m a breeder strictly with the A.D.B.A. (the American Dog Breeders Association). All of my dogs are registered and their records are on file with the A.D.B.A.. If you are interested in upcoming litters you can contact me on the new website when it goes up to discuss possible available livestock. From time to time there might be a pup, young prospect, or adult APBT available from my yard. I’ll also possibly have other animals like chickens and canaries available for purchase. 😉
